High Level Speakers from European Commission, the Industry, Universities and NGOs will be invited to debate at two roundtable sessions:
- Implementing the EU Raw Materials Strategy and Sustainable Access to Resources
- EU Biodiversity Strategy Target: Restoration of Ecosystems by 15%
The Europe 2020 Strategy and its flagship initiative on "A Resource Efficient Europe" set the EU on the path to this transformation. The Commission’s resource efficiency objectives through sustainable and efficient extraction of raw materials and processes in line with supplying sustainable and resource efficient materials and infrastructure in Europe, are strongly supported.
Maximum resource efficiency is achieved through good planning policies and efficient permitting systems providing access to raw materials resources close to the major markets in respect with restoration of ecoystem’s target.
